AFTERCARE
Anti-wrinkle Injections
Clients should leave more that 24 hours between their treatments and any long haul flights.
For 4 to 6 hours post treatment:
No bending or lying flat
No gym, steam room or sauna
No alcohol
No make up or massaging the face
No other facial treatments for 2 weeks post treatments.
Avoid taking aspirin or ibuprofen post treatment as this may increase your risk of bruising.
It is important to allow 2 weeks for toxin to work fully, if after 2 weeks you feel you have not had the results you wanted please contact me and we can arrange a review.
Dermal Fillers
Do not apply make up for 12 hours post treatment
Do not enter a sauna or similar environment for 2 weeks post environment
Seek advice if you develop any facial cold sores immediately after treatment
Only use tepid water to wash you face for 24 hours following treatment and pat dry carefully.
Avoid taking aspirin or ibuprofen post treatment as this may increase your risk of bruising.
It is normal to have slight redness, bruising or swelling immediately after treatments with tenderness around the treatment area. These signs generally disappear in a day or two but if they persist for longer or if you have any concerns please contact me.
Medical Skincare
After receiving a a PCA Skin professional treatment, you should not necessarily expect to "peel", light flaking light flaking in a few localized areas and residual redness for approximately 1-12 hours is typical.
It is recommended that make up is not applied post treatment and left overnight to stabilize, however it can be applied after 15 minutes if necessary.
To minimize effects it is recommended that you only use the post treatment creams for 3-5 days until flaking has resolved.
It is recommended to delay the use of prescription acne treatments for five days post procedure - consult your dermatologist before temporarily postponing them.
Avoid direct sun exposure and excessive heat. Use a PCA Skin broad spectrum sunscreen.
Do not go on a tanning bed for at least 2 weeks post procedure. This practice should be stopped altogether due to the increased risk of skin cancer and accelerated aging.
Do not pick or pull any loose skin, this could potentially cause hyperpigmentation.
Do not have electrolysis, facial waxing or use depilatories for 5 days post treatment.
